Summary

As the Easter weekend approaches, feline detectives Hettie Bagshot and Tilly Jenkins are called to investigate the murder of local radio DJ Hartley Battenberg.

Bowled over by the prospect of a bake-off competition, a cricket match and an outdoor screening of The Sound of Music, Hettie and Tilly struggle through a sea of trifle to catch out a killer. Will Bunty Basham's 11 be triumphant? Has Whisker FM played its final jingle? And will celebrity cook Fanny Haddock get her just desserts?

Join them as they tune in to a world of blackmail, obsession and murderous pies.

NOT THE BEST ONE BUT STILL ENTERTAINING

I enjoyed the book, it had its usual mix of amusing and macabre. Love Hettie and Tilly. On to book 10 (sadly the next books are not free) Will happily use my credits for the next volumes. I wholeheartedly recommend these books. Total escapism and frankly the VERY BEST narrator in the business. She could read the phone book and make it worth a listen!!

Whole Series is Fantastic

Worth it for Mandy Morton's obvious delight in language, humour and puns, The author certainly has cla considerable facility for language and the writing is a joy to read or listen to on that account, but the characters will also grow on you as you progress through the series. All this is helped by excellent narration, of course.

Great!

I’ve listened to each book so far, and they are just great. (That’s coming from a dog owner)
The narrator is one of the best I’ve heard on here, and the stories are great. I’ve binge listened to a few book series now, and they can get quite repetitive, etc, these books do not.
Extra bonus, they are free to listen to!

Doesn't disappoint

The only story in the FDA series that I haven't enjoyed was the last - and that may have been due to having no interest in The Handmaid's Tale in all its formats. Suffice to say that was a one-off. This one is back to the usual highly enjoyable feline entertainment with all the welcome characters & sly digs at our world. Even Lavender Stamp gets a laugh.
Agatha Crispy would approve!
