Summary

Book two of the Constant Love series.

The preparations for Elizabeth’s birth and the beginning of Georgiana’s married life do not go as smoothly as either of them would wish, and they must each consider an alternate legacy for Pemberley as they encounter opposite sides of the same "what if?"

Meanwhile, for the first time, Mary Bennet finds herself romantically interested in a man, but will her own character and his family get in her way?

A story of love and family; the sequel to A Constant Love.

Loved book 1 but not as keen on book 2

Enjoyed the story follow on from book 2 but absolutely hated the dream sections, boring & confusing.
The narrator voice is quite tiresome & the volume goes up & down. At times you can hear her breathing & weird noises.
However, I enjoyed the follow story of all the relations etc. I am now on book 3, which is much better so well worth the perseverance if this one.

A good continuation

See my review of part 1. The voice acting definitely improved, however I still feel there was a lack of imagination when it came to the portrayal of the Male characters. There is also still the issue of sound randomly adjusting, most likely caused by multiple cuts of the Narrator reading. The sound however is much improved from the first book. The story itself picks right off from part 1 and flows very well I believe. There are several parts that seem to drag, but for the most part it flows very well. The end is good, but I feel somewhat unfulfilled. Although very tired up, there are still several things that leave you wanting to know where they went. All in all though, a very good read. Enjoyable and engaging.

Great follow up to Book 1 of the series

I enjoyed Constant Love, Book 1, but I enjoyed this Book 2 even more. There are happy events and tragic events - villains and heroes. There is also an interesting approach in both books that the author has the "real" story and then a "dream" story running parallel. At first this was a little confusing, but both stories are quite interesting. Of course the "real" story is the prevalent story line. This series held my attention throughout. Each of the Bennett sisters, as well as Georgiana and Richard, have a love interest and their stories were exceptionally good.

In my opinion, this book tied up all outstanding plot lines of the series thus far, except perhaps the Lydia Bennett/George Wickham one, so I have decided not to tackle Book 3, which is over 20 hours long. I just don't know of much more of interest to me that can be told. Also reviews of Book 3 report that the audio is terrible. Books 1 and 2 of the Constant Love series have satisfied me completely and I highly recommend them.

The narrator is okay but her male voices are not very distinctive, and I do not like the tone of some of the female voices. I can't explain exactly why or what I mean about the tones of the female voices, but something just got on my nerves about several of them. Probably was just my prejudices and other listeners may not be turned off at all.

Repeats of passages

Repeats of what was previously read in chapter 12. I believe this happened in book 1 of the series as well although I did not make a note of where it occurred.

Very good

There are a few echos in the recording but nothing to stop you enjoying the story. I like that she develops the character of Anne De Bourgh. I have thoroughly enjoyed all three books.

not what the description says

The book says it's about Mary Bennett, but she has maybe 10 min. The story is about Elizabeth & Georgiana. Half is a dream & half is real. Sometimes its hard to tell who is who. This book is just like the first book. If you loved book 1, you will love this. If you thought 1 was slow, then by hr 16 your bored , but already vested to continue.

Even better than the first book

This was really good. And the dreams the characters had which were actually small stories included in the larger story were surprisingly good.
