Two sisters go into the family business they didn't know they had...catching killers. From the creator of the number one best-selling Women's Murder Club thrillers.

Attorney Rhonda Bird returns home to LA to bury her estranged father and discovers that he left her two final surprises. The first is a private detective agency that he set up after leaving his job as an accountant; the second is a teenage half sister named Baby.

When Rhonda goes into her father's old office to close down the business, she gets drawn into a case involving a young man who claims he was abducted. The investigation takes Rhonda and Baby to dark and dangerous places, and they become the target of a criminal cartel seeking revenge....

Don’t waste the credit

Story wasn’t bad however , the narration from the female was awful! The guy was bearable.
The worst thing though was the continual weight comments ! Or observations ! Not cool- no matter how you try to play it. I’m surprised at Patterson for allowing his name on this one

Patterson & co at their best

This was James Patterson at his best. I enjoyed meeting Baby and Rhonda, although the constant ‘fat’ references were unnecessary, in my opinion. Ok - she’s a larger than life, eccentric lady - do we really need to be told about ‘the fat look’ that she keeps getting? Other than that, I hope that this will turn into a good series like the Michael Bennet books.

Good beginning and middle but terrible end.

I enjoyed most of the book but the ending just didn't fit expectations. Ended up skipping most of the last hour.

A thriller with double narrative

A gripping story from the first page with two interweaving story lines sometimes merging through both narrator's. Clever & imaginative storyline that is not predictable....
