Steve Wallace was born in Bath, England where he grew up before moving to Singapore aged 8. On his return to the UK he lived in Gillingham, Kent before moving back to Bath aged 16. Steve worked as a civil servant in both UK and Germany before retiring in 2013. He now lives in Munich, Germany with his wife. His first book, a murder mystery entitled 'Dawlish Investigates... Clubbed to Death' was inspired by his love of golf. It introduces the character DCI Jack Dawlish for the first time. Steve's second book entitled 'Dawlish Investigates... Double Death' sets Jack Dawlish a very different murder to solve. Steve’s latest book ‘Death by the Rhine’ takes Dawlish across the channel into Germany to solve a murder mystery that is close to his heart.
